The village of Currow has traditional pubs, shops, a church, post office and a scenic wildlife pond is only a 3 mins. walk from the house. Banks, restaurants and super markets are all closeby in Castleisland, a mere 5 mins. drive from Currow, which also has the well renowned Crag caves and a 18 hole golf course.
A 15 minute drive will take you to the busy town of Killarney and to Killarney National Park with its beautiful
lakes and mountains. There you can take a boat ride on the lakes, jaunting car rides to Muckross house ground gardens or through the Gap of Dunloe, visit Torc water fall (picture to the right) or walk around the lakes, on the hills or on the Kerry Way [more...]. For a longer day tour join the Ring of Kerry and follow the scenic coast road through Glenbeigh, Caherciveen, Waterville and Sneem to Kenmare.
Killarney has a number of renowned restaurants and traditional pubs with nightly entertainment, cinemas and a Concert Hall.
Tralee, famous for its Rose Of Tralee annual festival, for a great nights entertainment at Siamsa Tire and for the Aquadome Waterworld is also just 15 Minutes away.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean Kerry’s coastline is renowned for its spectacular Blue Flag beaches and stunning scenery. The short drive to Dingle town brings you past Inch Strand, a 5 km long Blue Flag beach, with breath-taking scenery. Dingle town, with its abundance of shops, pubs and seafood restaurants as well as a colourful busy little fishing harbour, is about 45 mins. away. The spectacular Slea Head Drive is an exceptionally picturesque corniche road and leads you past prehistoric remains along the rugged coastline with glorious scenery including the Blasket Islands and small sandy beaches dotted among the Cliffs.
