A heaven for Outdoor Enthusiasts!
Expect a memorable and a unique experience through our extensive knowledge of the Kerry Geo Park (the Iveragh Peninsula. Located at the foot of Cnoc Na dTobar mountain, our house is an ideal base for walks & hikes in the area. Hill walkers and out-door enthusiast are especially welcome, Kerry Way Walkers may expect all the services they're looking for after a long day of hiking. We also provide pick-up and drop-off on the Trail. 
The craggy Skellig Islands rise dramatically from the ocean about 15 kms from the western point of the peninsula and should not be missed for their bird life and the remains of the remotest Irish monastery. We'll be happy to arrange your boat trip to the isles!
Fishing is available near-by. Cahersiveen is a world renowed for both salt and fresh-water fishing. Cahersiveen has recently hosted the European Federation of sea-anglers competition. Several blue-flag beaches are within ten minutes drive of Strand's-End House. Kells bay is just a short drive where you will find a sheltered beach suitable for swimming. The white strand is located just ouside Cahersiveen and is also a blue flag beach.
During the summer there are many festivals of interest in Cahersiveen and the surrounding areas. The Cahersiveen Celtic music festival is an annual event held on the August bank holiday weekend which attracts visitors from all over the world. The Cahersiveen races is held in August/September over two days. The world famous Puck Fair is held in Killorglin each year commencing on 10th of August, and lasts for three days.
