Welcome to Valentia Island!
Valentia Island is one of Europe's westernmost inhabited locations, lying off the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry in Ireland. It is linked to the mainland by a bridge at Portmagee, as well as by a ferry (in summer only) which sails from Reenard Point to Knightstown, the island's main settlement. The island has an exceptionally mild climate due to the warm drift of the gulf stream and is suitable for all season visitors. The island has great beauty and contrast with high cliffs
to the west and north providing sensational views onto the Kerry Coastline and the Skellig Islands. It is well known for the beautiful walks and is also part of the Ring of Kerry Cycleway. [more about the location...]
